LABELEXPO EUROPE 2025
Aldus highlights four brands at Labelexpo Europe
API Transfer Technologies, Paragon Inks, Starfoil Technology and Newfoil Machines are operating under the Aldus umbrella in Barcelona.
The Aldus Group is making its debut at Labelexpo Europe 2025 with a joint stand, featuring four of its international brands.
API Transfer Technologies, Paragon Inks, Starfoil Technology, and Newfoil Machines are showcasing how their technologies can integrate for label and packaging printers and converters.
The four companies, which are presenting together in Barcelona under the Aldus brand, all operate globally within their respective segments.
API Transfer Technologies is a global manufacturer and distributor of hot and cold transfer foils for decorative and functional applications. The company focuses on its broad spectrum of transfer products for conventional and digital printing technologies, including toner and inkjet applications. The new brand identity, resulting from the integration of several companies in 2024, has also been unveiled in Barcelona.
Paragon Inks develops and produces UV and LED curable inks, coatings and cold foil adhesives for the label and packaging industry. The company provides customer-focused product development and has long-standing partnerships with global clients.
Starfoil Technology provides hot stamping and diecutting machines, as well as slitting, spooling and cutting systems. Starfoil provides robust, customizable machines for demanding industrial finishing processes, from small batches to high-volume production.
Newfoil Machines’ roll-fed hot foil embossing and finishing machines allow precise embossing, cutting and converting. The company is a division of Starfoil Technology Netherlands.
‘A single global roof’
“We are bringing together leading specialists from different regions under a single global roof to offer our customers worldwide solutions that are technologically aligned and proven in practice,” states Daniel Black, general manager of the Aldus Group. “Labelexpo is the ideal platform to showcase our global strength in one unified presence.”
The four brands cover a wide range of technology, from transfer products and inks to machinery and technical integration. The system approach is key, as customers receive not only individual components but also integrated technologies that are efficient, scalable, and practical.
“Our customers are looking for more than just components — they are seeking functioning systems and solutions to their everyday problems,” remarks Kenny Gilmour, managing director of API Transfer Technologies, Starfoil Technology, and Newfoil Machines. “These system solutions are what we provide. We support our customers throughout the process, providing technical, consultative, and collaborative support.”
Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, the Aldus Group is an internationally operating network of specialized companies in printing, packaging, labeling, coding and precision engineering. With over 430 employees and 14 locations around the world, the group embodies global expertise, local presence, and technological competence. The Aldus Group has a customer base of over 10,000 companies worldwide.
“As part of our ongoing global expansion, we have decided to place greater emphasis on the synergistic effects of the nine companies and brands within the Aldus Group,” adds Black. “Over the past 75 years, we have grown into one of the largest global systems providers in the printing and packaging industry, as well as in packing technology and engineering. However, we have largely kept the Aldus Group’s marketing activities in Europe limited, and we are aware that the name Aldus and the breadth of our product, machine, solution, and service offerings are still relatively unknown here.”
